Mary Carstensen, who has more than 25 years of experience in the information technology industry, has been hired as a senior programmer.
Carstensen most recently was a senior information specialist in support of the Case Management, Information and Payrolling System for the In-Home Supportive Service (IHSS) Program co-sponsored by the Department of Health Care Services and the California Department of Social Services.
She has been involved in many other high-profile state projects, including the Welfare Client Data System, the Student Loan Financial Aid Program, Employment Development Department and the State Board of Equalization. She earned her bachelor’s degree in microbiology from California State University,Long Beach.
Matthew Weber has been hired as a geographic information system (GIS) analyst. He was previously a GIS analyst for the California State University Chico Research Foundation.
Weber has worked on projects for the Butte County Association of Governments and Cal Fire/Office of Emergency Services as well as contracts that looked at broadband usage and the National Fire Incident Response System (NFIRS).
Weber, who earned his bachelor’s and master’s degrees in geography fromChicoState, lives in El Dorado Hills.
