In 2003, M Corp started, literally, in a garage. Among tools and trimmers, the three founders, Alex, Chuck and Hung, started small but dreamed big. Based on their deep knowledge of legacy mainframe systems, Medicaid/Medicare systems, business intelligence and analytics, mature and tested methodologies for successful system delivery, and data driven management consulting, they built their vision and their organization.
Now, the company is larger, with over 100 consultants delivering winning solutions. M Corp has expanded its square footage and client list, but its philosophies and character are deeply rooted in that small garage. The partners still believe in and practice the core values that launched the business back in 2003: solving problems, integrating systems and
delivering solutions.
One of the most frequently asked questions we get is: “What does the ‘M’ in M Corp stand for?”
We have come up with several refreshing answers to this so we have something quick to respond with:
Because ‘P’ Corp makes us giggle…
M is for Marcia (Chuck’s wife), because it was the only way she would let us use the garage…
We already sold companies A through L…
What is a consultant if not a Mercenary….
NONE of these are true. How we came up with the name is that we came up with a list of dozens of potential names. Basically, anything you could think of was on the list. We then narrowed the list to 10 names that we were comfortable with. We wrote those names on a white board and had 3 minutes to review them. We then left those names for 2 days and went back to our busy schedules and projects. After the second day, we came together and asked which of the names we remembered from the list. The only one that everyone remembered was M Corp, and so, there we were. We know our clients are as busy as we are, so if we could remember it after two days and only seeing it briefly, so could our clients.
